Research Activities

My main responsibilities are to using immunohistochemistry/fluorescence and PCR techniques on variety of tissues like HIV-infected brain, liver and lymph node to assess viral persistence and inflammatory phenotypes in these tissues

PCR - triple nested PCR, qPCR

In situ hybridisation  - DNA scope and RNA scope
Laser capture microscopy 
Microtomy
Small animal handling - mouse
general mouse surgery and harvesting different tissues
