Research Activities

My PhD studies, undertaken at the Burnet Institute, involved the molecular and cellular characterisation of HIV. In particular, I characterised a promoter in the 3' long terminal repeat that regulated the expression of a negative sense transcript.

My postdoctoral work at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute in Melbourne involved the development of human artificial chromosomes as gene therapy vehicles.
